Canard Composites Blog

Tuesday, March 25, 2008 - The Web Site

As construction moves along on the Velocity SEFG the time has come to prepare for our MD-RA pre enclosure inspection. As such I thought the best way to share the mountains of information we have collected would be to create a Web site and thus canardcomposites.com came to be.

The intent of the Web site is to provide public access to near everything we have while providing a private portal for MD-RA to access the paperwork they need to complete their work.

If you have any questions please fee free to contact us.

Friday February 1, 2008 - Naval Exercises

This was the first time we worked on anything other than control surfaces. With the winglets attached, the canard and elevators glassed, it was time to move onto the fuselage. As exciting as this sounds it still looks like a boat more than a plane especially once the lower cowl was cut off. ;-)

Still snowing.

Tuesday January 1, 2008 - The Big Move

We have outgrown our existing home. This was a big month for us as we moved the entire Velocity SEFG kit to out new 2,000 square foot workshop. There was just no way we could facilitate moving the wings once the winglets were attached. It's not the same as being at home but the additional space will be well used and Mom won't miss the smell of epoxy one bit.

Now if it would just stop snowing.
